Green Data Centre Hardware

As AI and high-density computing push power and cooling to their limits, the hardware you choose has a real effect on your energy costs and your carbon footprint. Cratsol helps you choose energy-efficient, liquid-cooling-ready hardware, and supplies it at competitive pricing.

Efficiency starts with the hardware you choose

A large share of a data centre’s energy is spent simply keeping it cool. As racks grow denser, driven by AI, GPU, and high-performance workloads, traditional air cooling is reaching its limits, and both energy use and cost rise with it.
The hardware you choose is a large part of the answer. Efficient servers and storage, and equipment built to work with modern liquid cooling, reduce the power a data centre draws and the heat it has to remove. We help you choose that hardware, and supply it, so efficiency is designed into what you buy from the start.

Why dense computing is moving to liquid

Liquid carries heat away far more effectively than air, which is why high-density workloads are moving towards it. There are two main methods:

Air cooling still suits many server rooms. Liquid cooling earns its place with high-density AI, GPU, and HPC workloads, and only when the hardware is built to support it.

Direct-to-chip

Coolant is carried straight to the hottest components, the processors and GPUs, and removes their heat at the source.

Immersion

The hardware sits in a non-conductive fluid that draws heat from the whole system, suited to the densest workloads of all.

Hardware chosen for efficiency

Efficient Servers

Servers built for more performance per watt, so the same work draws less power.

Liquid-Cooling-Ready Hardware

Servers and systems designed to work with direct-to-chip and immersion cooling.

Efficient Storage

Storage that balances performance against lower power draw across your data.

Power & UPS

Efficient power distribution and uninterruptible supplies that cut waste and protect uptime.

FAQ UI - Radius + Full Width Mobile
What makes hardware more energy-efficient?
−
More performance per watt: a server does the same work using less power, which lowers both energy use and the heat that has to be removed.
What is liquid-cooling-ready hardware?
+
Servers and systems designed to work with direct-to-chip or immersion cooling, rather than relying on air cooling alone.
Do I need liquid cooling?
+
It depends on your rack density. Air cooling still suits many setups; high-density AI, GPU, and HPC workloads are where liquid cooling starts to make sense.
Do you supply the cooling systems too?
+
We supply the hardware that works with liquid cooling. The cooling systems themselves are designed and installed by specialist providers.
