Email Security

Email is the easiest way into your business, and the route most attackers take. Cratsol supplies and configures layered email security that filters phishing, malware, and spoofing before it reaches your people, built around Microsoft 365 or whatever platform you run.

One email is all it takes

Most attacks on a business do not begin with a breached firewall or a cracked password. They begin with an email: a convincing message, a fake invoice, a request that looks like it came from your manager. Email works for attackers because it goes straight to your people, and it only takes one busy person, one click, on one bad day.
That is what email security is built to prevent. Cratsol supplies and configures protection that filters threats before they reach the inbox, and stops attackers impersonating your business, so the route they rely on most is the one you have defended best.

Your platform's defaults are a baseline, not a defence

Microsoft 365 and similar platforms include basic filtering, and it catches the obvious spam.

Businesses are not replacing Microsoft 365. They are adding proper protection around it.

Built-in filtering (defaults)

  • Catches obvious spam and known malware
  • One standard configuration for everyone
  • Little protection against impersonation
  • No domain protection set up by default
  • Limited visibility of what is being blocked

Layered email security

  • Catches sophisticated phishing built to evade filters
  • Tuned to how your business sends and receives email
  • Detects display-name fraud and lookalike domains
  • Stops attackers spoofing your name to others
  • Clear reporting on threats and patterns

Spam is the nuisance. These are the real threats.

The dangerous messages are not the obvious junk. They are the smaller number designed to deceive, and those are exactly the ones basic filtering tends to miss.

Phishing

Messages that trick your people into handing over passwords or information.

Malware and ransomware

Malicious attachments and links that infect a device when opened.

Business email compromise

Fraudulent requests that appear to come from a colleague, supplier, or executive.

Email spoofing

Attackers sending email that looks like it comes from your own domain.

Account takeover attempts

Efforts to break into a mailbox and the data it holds.

AI-written phishing

Polished, convincing messages that no longer give themselves away.

The platform and the protection, from one partner

Most providers sell you a single email security product. As a value-added distributor, we work across the platforms your email runs on and the tools that protect it, so we supply and configure the right combination for you, rather than one product pushed at every business.

We know the platforms

Protection configured properly for Microsoft 365 and other email systems.

Layered, not single-product

The right combination of tools for your business, not one product for everyone.

Configured for you

Tuned to how your business sends and receives email, not left on defaults.

The right protection, configured properly

Email security only works when it is tuned to how your business communicates. We handle the whole path, from choosing the right protection to having it deployed and configured correctly.

Trusted across the sectors that depend on technology

We support organisations with demanding, sector-specific requirements — understanding the compliance, continuity, and performance needs particular to each.

FAQ UI - Radius + Full Width Mobile
Isn't the spam filter in Microsoft 365 enough?
−
It is a baseline, not a complete defence. The built-in filtering catches obvious spam, but modern phishing and impersonation attacks are designed to evade the default settings. Layered email security adds the advanced filtering, scanning, and domain protection that the defaults do not provide.
What is business email compromise?
+
It is an attack where a fraudulent email appears to come from a colleague, supplier, or senior figure, often requesting a payment or sensitive information. Because it relies on deception rather than malware, it can bypass basic filters, which is why dedicated email security matters.
What are SPF, DKIM, and DMARC?
+
They are email authentication records that stop attackers sending email that looks like it comes from your domain. Configured correctly, they protect your name and help your legitimate email get delivered. Configured carelessly, they can block your own email, so they need setting up with care.
Will strong filtering block legitimate emails?
+
Not when it is configured properly. The skill is in tuning the protection to catch threats while letting real email through, which is what we do during setup.
Does this work with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
+
Yes. Email security layers around the platform you already use, whether that is Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or another system, rather than replacing it.
